What do we do when we do the things that we do?
Both Maria and Magnus share a common interest in diving. Due to pregnancies, Maria hasn't dived since we were in Australia in the new year 1999/2000. Magnus tries to dive as much as possible, but with a house and two very active young sons, time is a scarce resource. Also, the weather is not always the best for diving here in Skåne. The best diving spot here is at Kullaberg, but when the wind blows from the west (which it does very often), it can be tough to get out with the boat to reach the good diving spots. In Sweden we were members of the diving club Sundsdykarna in Malmö. So far in Australia, diving has been scarce, but hopefully will pick up more soon. Magnus has done some diving with Mindarie Dive Academy around Perth
Also, Magnus has a fascination for cigars. It's the whole concept of how they are produced and crafted, the difference in taste and flavour depending on the origin, types of leaves, etc. that is really interesting to discover and learn more about. Just like with whisky and wine, no two brands are the same and the variety seems endless. So, for my 35 th birthday I purchased a humidor and have begun to fill it with cigars. On this page, there is more about my collection (extremely small compared to seasoned cigar aficionados).
Magnus' oldest hobby is photography. It's been a hobby that I haven't pursued in the last couple of years, but now with my Nikon D50 and a bunch of new lenses I feel an urge to do more in this field. If this interest keeps up, I hope do do more, and better, photography in the next coming years. My pictures are featured on my photo website.
Maria enjoys sewing and has begun an alteration service in her spare time, making a few dollars in the process. |
